Genital herpies, genetal warts, moluscum contagiousum

Genital (genitle) herpies is a virus infection by normally the HSV2 virus (causing most genital herpes) or HSV1 (symptoms of this are more often cold sores but can also develop gental symptoms). Genetal warts is also a viral infection, here the human papilloma virusis causing the genetical warts. Only some types of HPV will cause genital wharts (gental warts).

Genital (genitle) herpies

Genetal herpes infections will sometimes cause symptoms, but there are also times when they will not. HSV2 infections quite often display no symptoms at all. Following after the initial infection outbreak, there is typically a symptom free period of apparently no virus action, this is called the latency period. After latency comes the recurrance. Time span between recurrance(-s) will vary, but is typically shorter early on in an infection and after a year or more, the intervals become longer as the immune defence has learnt how to handle the virus to some extent. During viral activity (whether the initial outbreak or one of the recurrances) typical signs and symptoms of genital herpes are that there will be blisters developing, that after a short time period burst open and after a painful open period (fortunately often only days), will scab over and eventually disappear without a trace. The time span of this cycle can be about one or two weeks.

There are also occurances of the condition where gential herpes infections caused by the HSV2 virus, will begin with a long initial period completely free of symptoms before there is an initial outbreak. In this scenario, the first outbreak - when it eventually arrives - is typically milder than otherwise would have been the case and this is due to the fact that the immune system will have been aware of the virus from day one and had time to build up antibodies. These delayed primary infection virus outbreaks are known to heal faster, develop lesser and milder symptoms of herpes and they are often also less contagious than a normal herpes simplex infection.

HSV1 primary virus infections can occasionally be severe but when this happens, it is also common that the next recurrance outbreak takes longer to show up and it will often also be less intense if compared to the HSV2 genitle herpies virus outbreak. One problem is that 20-25% of women infected with this virus are able to transmit during the asymptomatic first few months following the initial outbreak, even once all symptoms have passed. For this reason, it is very important to clinically test any female patient reporting vaginal discharge problems. From start of the fourth month and onwards the virus is less contagious.

Genetal warts - genital warts - gential wharts symptoms

Genatal warts (which is the same condition as genetal wharts) are small dimples of natural skin color, often small. These dimples appear typically in either of the genital or anal regions. Genital warts can also affect the cervix surface of female patients and if this condition is left without proper treatment in time, it may increase the risk of developing cervical cancer. Genetal wharts are very contagious and since it is possible to be infected and contagious simultaneously without any signs or symptoms - it becomes very clear why this infection is spreading so fast. Gential wharts is actually the single most common sexually transmitted disease.

By using condoms there is a certain level of protection against the virus, but it is not total guarantee that genetal warts will not transfer. The common types of HPV that typically are causing genetial wharts the numbers 6 and 11 and fortunately, precisely these two types of the virus are also the two least likely ones to be involved in triggering cervical cancer.

To remove genatal warts there are several possible methods that can be used. These include cryotherapy and laser therapy and also chemical removal methods. By removing the gential warts, we actually remove the symptoms but leave the disease there to come back if it feels like it. The virus is still there and it unfortunately will normally recur with some intervals so just as with gential herpies, future outbreaks are very likely. You may therefore have to go through removing of the warts again later.

Molluscum contagiosum - moluscum treatment

Molluscium contagiosum (or with one of the other synonyms - molluscum or even moluscum contagiousum) is another virus infection. This infection is of the skin and it will first appear like little spots, often pink-ish in its color and round or pearl-shaped. This condition can occur at any age in life but molluscium contagiosum is most commonly seen in children. The moluscum condition is not serious or life threatening and it typically will heal completely within a couple of months, with no need for any treatment although in some cases the molluscum problem may take longer to disappear.

This condition is a poxvirus infection. It transfers via any type of direct contact, it does not have to be sexual (but it can be). It can also transfer by indirect contacts such as via a towel, public toilet seats or common swimming pools. Molluscum contagiosum signs (symptoms) can often be seen within 3-8 weeks after the original molluscium infection.

Treatment of genital herpes (genatal symptoms)

As there is currentl no known medical treatment that will remove genitile herpies completely, treatment is normally done by applying antiviral drugs to the symptoms of genital herpies. Although the virus is not removed, the antiviral medicines will actually help preventing or delaying future recurrences of the genatal herpes. The use of antiviral medication will also be of good help when preventing transmission of genetal herpes to your sexual partner. Treatment is often done using antiviral drugs such as:

Zorivax, Acyclovir - Aciclovir - gential herpes medication and drugs

This medicine can only be found in prescription form. It comes as tablets, to be used 5 per day or for prevention use, 2 tablets per day.

Valacyclovir (Valtrex medicine) for gential treatment of warts (herpies)

Again a prescription drug. These pills should be taken morning and evening for 5 days. They can also be used for prevention purpose and the dose is then one tablet a day.

Famciclovir (or sometimes Famvir) genatal treatment of wharts or herpes

Can only be found as a prescription drug, dose is twice a day for five days.

Eye herpes (ocular herpies), symptoms and treatment

The ocular herpes (or with its popular name: eye herpes) will only affect one eye at a time (but can affect both eyes after a break in between). This condition is developed from a HSV1 virus infection unless it is a retinal infection, here the HSV-2 is the more likely strain to be the cause. Today, nearly half a million Americans have recurring ocular herpies and almost fifty thousand new people are diagnosed with this condition every year. It has in the past been seen more often in children but it is now increasing in the older population as well. Eye herpes symptoms can be blurred eyesight, corneal lesions and sudden outbursts of pain. The condition will normally heal in a few weeks without treatment.

Gential herpies different stages of condition

The initial outbreak, sometimes refered to as the primary outbreak, is the first of the symptoms seen after the infection. This outbreak of herpees signs can happen anytime within 2-3 days up to a few weeks after the virus was transfered. After this primary (initial) outbreak it is normal to see no symptoms at all for a while, this inactivity period is of a few months typically, is then to be followed by the first recurrence of genitle herpes outbreak (the time span here will increase between outbreaks as the years go after the infection) which is normally less severe and milder than the initial outbreak.
Signs of genitile herpes symptoms

Symptoms as well as the typical signs of genatal herpies are when small blisters start to develop in the area that was infected (this is usually the genitals, but can be elsewhere). These blisters can be rather painful, especially when bursting open - but fortunately only for a short while such as a week or two. After this short and painful period, they frequently just disappear without leaving any scars.

During the symptomatic activity (and prior to signs of genital herpes are seen), you will be contagious and sexual activity should be kept on hold. After the blisters have healed and disappeared, you are normally not contagious anymore and you can have sex as usual.

Treating signs of genatal herpies symptoms

There is no known medication, drug or method available that is capable of removing the gental herpes virus completely. What there is, is medication for treating the symptoms of genital herpes to a level where it is not-too-bad to live with them. The herpes simplex virus infection will not be removed with this method though and that means you still have this virus dormant your body and it may at any time activate again. The viral activations are called recurrences and these are more commonly seen in the early years of the infection, later on the recurrences become few and far between and with milder symptoms when virus is active.

How can genital herpes (gental herpees) be removed?

Genetal herpies signs can be removed using the method called cryotherapy. This is when the physician uses a particular medical method of freezing´ to remove the problem. There are also different laser therapy methods that are newly developed, for treatment of the symptoms. After the genital herpies removal, symptoms can still come back, something that is actually quite likely that it will do as the virus itself was never treated and is still present. This can come out of dormancy and become active again any time in the future. There are a few other possible treatments for removing gential herpees such as the use of LEEP (Loop Elecrosurgical Excicion procedure method) as well as further possible chemical treatments for genital herpies removal. Genital (genetal) warts and moluscum contagiosum (contagiousum) treatment and removal are similar in clinical handling. Genatal herpes and gental warts removing FAQ and descriptions.

Genatal herpes

Genital herpies virus infections are very common in America. There are almost 50 million people in their teenages or above who have had genital herpes infection symptoms. Genetal herpes has been increasing in infection rate over the last decades. Gential (genetile) short genitle FAQ on the subjects of gental herpes and gental wharts (genetical wharts) caused by either the herpes simplex virus, or the human papilloma virus. Genetal warts is a similar condition also caused by a virus but it is treated differently to the symptoms of gential herpes.
